Our custom fifthwheel travel trailers (the Sequoyahs) are built at our
custom upfitting shop in Elkhart, Indiana.
Our Full-Basement Sequoyah design cleans up storage areas above the main floor and creates sensational space below the floor in the basement. We relocate the water supply tank, water heater, converter, furnace, holding tanks, drain system, electrical system and water supply systems below the main floor. The water supply and holding tanks are located directly over the axles in the heated double bottomed basement. We make these items almost disappear. These relocated systems become more accessible for maintenance and repair than those found in presently available products
from the industry. The basement is the cold air return plenum for the basement mounted furnace. The flow of returned air to the basement installed furnace keeps the basement from freezing in cold weather. Custom Amish quality cabinetry is made at a small cabinet shop in Milford, Indiana (about 35 miles from Elkhart).
This is a flat roofed fifthwheel, but no higher than our standard Americana models. The door entry is similar to a pusher motorhome as we have a step well for entry and a main living-room/kitchen ceiling height of approx. 84". In our triple axle 38/39RL or 36/37RL (similar to the GS models) there is room for a aluminum bass boat in the rear basement below the floor
(boat is loaded from the rear) and we can install an optional motorcycle garage below center bathroom to hold a medium sized motorcycle. The motorcycle would load from the front when the tow vehicle is unhooked. Other sport type fifthwheels carry motorcycles and other toys above the frame and the garage portion of the fifthwheel, taking away from the RV living space. The Sequoyah's living space is not effected by the garage or boat below the main floor.
Even if you decide to leave the boat and motorcycles home, you can picture the amount of very usable space available in our unique design. We did have full-timing in mind when we first designed and engineered the Sequoyah 18 years ago (my how the years move on).
The base factory order price for a typical Sequoyah 37/37RL would be about $60,000, but the actual price depends on your budget. The order lead time is from 6 months to 1 year. For a truly custom Sequoyah, we require a substantial deposit with order and reasonable progress payments.
The available floorplans are essentially the same as those of the GS models which can be seen on the GS Floorplans page.
