Because motorhomes must meet a finer standard of fit and finish than trailers traditionally do, and because our new 2006 models are starting life on the assembly line next to very expensive motor-homes, we expect to see great results in fit and finish for our

We employ a unique system of production that allows us to offer the best possible prices, quality, and selection to our customers. We choose a volume RV manufacturer who can produce a fifthwheel that will meet our basic Americana GS quality assurance specification, which we developed at the insistence of our customers over the last 30 years, and covers durability, insulation, chassis & suspension, serviceability, slide-out gasketing & function, and price value. We then complete the GS specification with the final upfitting of Americana specialty items , which is done at our upfitting center across the river from the Elkhart, Indiana Factory.
This system means our customers can take advantage of two distinct worlds of manufacturing. They can enjoy the competitive pricing offered by major manufacturers who buy items such as refrigerators by the "box car load", while at the same time gaining final production detail and options such as inverters, Alko suspension, etc. normally only offered by high priced custom manufacturers.
This model year, for registration purposes and to assist our customers with financing and insurance, we will be using a primary brand name owned by Forest River. When the model meets our GS specification and upfitting standards it will have the Americana GS model logo displayed. The Forest River brand name will also assure the support of their full national warranty system backed by a full time customer assistance staff that can expedite the administration of warranty work and parts availability for your new fifthwheel wherever you may be located.
