My name is Russ Anderson and I want to thank you for taking the time to inquire about the Americana model fifthwheel, the result of 30 years of intimate involvement with the recreational vehicle industry. To start with, I'd like to tell you a little bit about me.

I grew up in a little farming community in Western Illinois. Who knows, I may be there to this day if my dad hadn't worked his tail off to make a better life for our family. He didn't have much of an education, or even the support of a family of his own (he was on his own in the world from the age of 15) but what he did have was the drive and the strength to work hard.

Hard by today's standards is putting in 50 hours a week at the office, but hard back then was working in the foundry, working construction, physical, backbreaking work from dawn to dusk, and then some. Then, after work and on weekends he built us a house, by himself (well, I helped some too). He bought a beautiful wooded lot on one acre of land and built a picturesque ranch style home for me, my mom, and my sister.

It was hard work doubled that got us that house. Dad worked hard at work and then again at home. He worked that way his whole life, even long after that house was done. Even after he had retired and built himself another house, a vacation home on a lake. Even after he had traveled over all of North America in his various RVs, he always found something to keep him busy, some project to work on. He relaxed by working. He didn't know anything else.

Needless to say, he had a strong appreciation of a dollar, and not just from his Swedish genes. He knew what it took to earn one, and he didn't spend one frivolously. He wasn't a miser or even cheap (some people might argue that point) but he considered the purchases he was going to make before he made one. He made sure he was getting value.

People like my dad, myself, and my customers, people who have earned their way toward financial security through years of hard work don't like to waste money. We want to know that our money is being well spent, so when we make an important purchase we make sure we are getting value for our dollar. We become "supershoppers." We look for quality but we want it at a good price. We compare. We look around. We take the time to figure out where our money will be "well spent."

Our number one customer is a highly experienced RVer whose years on the road has led him to know exactly what he wants, and as a super shopper, won't be happy until he finds it. He remembers the acronym KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) and wants his rig to be tough, well insulated, easily towed, of high quality, and affordable. As an RVer in the west, he may be in 120 degree temperatures on a dry lake bed during the day, and be in the mountains at below freezing that night, and he needs an RV that can be easily heated and cooled to handle these extremes. After years of hard work, he may have the capability of buying the fanciest or most expensive RV, but what he really wants is value.

We offer value in two Americana models. For those looking for one super-slide and all the good basics we offer the value oriented LC Americana Models. For those looking for a few more comforts along with 2" thick welded aluminum framed walls, dent resistant fiberglass skin, and high insulation values we offer the GS Americana Models.

We can offer this type of quality at a price significantly less than you would find at your local dealer because we do not incur the same costs as a dealer (see "Factory Orders - Getting The Most For Your Dollar"). We sell directly to you, the end consumer, so you get more value for each dollar you spend, giving you the option of purchasing a more fully outfitted fifthwheel or just plain saving money.

A further savings can be made by taking advantage of our seasonal order incentive. In order to keep the factory at full production over the course of the potentially slow winter and early spring months, the offered factory order base price on GS models now includes an additional slideout and a very complete option package. Normal factory lead time is 6 to 8 weeks.

Give us a call and we'll set up an appointment for you to see the new 1999 display models.

Send snail mail! Or visit us at our factory order display for Americana fifth wheel models on the Colorado River just across from Laughlin, Nevada. Models are shown by appointment so please e-mail or call ahead to make an appointment to see one of our factory ordered fifth wheels.
